Meghna Group of Industries ("MGI", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our employees who use the NEXUS application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. NEXUS is an internal employee directory and app hub — it is not intended for general public use.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Employee Profile Information

• Full name, email address, phone number
• Employee ID, department, designation
• Profile photograph (provided during employee verification)

2.2 Authentication Data

• Email address used for authentication
• Login timestamps and session information
• Device information (device type, operating system, device identifier) for session management

2.3 Photos and Camera

• Profile photographs uploaded from your device's photo library or captured using your device's camera
• Camera and photo library access is used solely for updating your employee profile picture and is only activated when you explicitly choose to change your photo

2.4 Push Notification Data

• Device push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging token) to deliver notifications to your device
• Notification interaction data (e.g., whether a notification was received or opened)
• Push notification tokens are deleted from our servers when you log out or your account is deactivated

2.5 Location Data

• Approximate GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) collected at the time of login and during active sessions
• Location data is used solely for internal security auditing and is never shared with third parties
• Location access is required to use the App — the App will prompt for permission before collecting any location data

2.6 Usage and Diagnostics Data

• Last active timestamp for session management
• Application access logs for security auditing
• Crash reports and diagnostics data (collected via Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and fix application issues
• App performance metrics (collected via Firebase Performance Monitoring) such as app startup time and network request latency
• Anonymous usage analytics (collected via Firebase Analytics) to understand feature usage and improve the App — this data is not linked to your personal identity in analytics reports

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Employee directory: To display your profile in the internal employee directory for workplace communication and collaboration.
• Authentication: To verify your identity and manage secure access to the App.
• Enterprise applications: To provide seamless access to authorized internal business applications.
• Security and auditing: To monitor for unauthorized access and maintain the integrity of our systems.
• App improvement: To improve the functionality and user experience of the App.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Your data is treated as confidential and internal to MGI:

• Your profile information is accessible only to other authorized MGI employees within the App.
• We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
• We do not share your data with external parties except as required by law or to protect the rights and safety of MGI and its employees.
• We use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers with industry-standard security measures.
• All communications between the App and our servers are encrypted using TLS/SSL.
• Authentication uses secure, temporary verification codes — we do not store permanent passwords.
• Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized MGI IT personnel only.

6. Data Retention

Your information is retained only for the duration of your employment with MGI. Upon the end of your employment (resignation, termination, or retirement), your data will be deactivated and subsequently removed from the App in accordance with MGI's data retention policies. Audit logs may be retained for a longer period as required for compliance and security purposes.

7. Your Rights

As an MGI employee, you have the right to:

• Access: View the personal information we hold about you within the App.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information by contacting HR.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data upon termination of employment, subject to legal and compliance requirements.
• Inquiries: Contact the IT department with any privacy-related questions or concerns.

8. Children's Privacy

NEXUS is designed exclusively for MGI employees and is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may provide access to third-party enterprise applications. Each third-party application has its own privacy policy and terms of use. MGI is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services accessed through NEXUS.

The App uses the following third-party services for its core functionality:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): For delivering push notifications. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): For crash reporting and diagnostics. Crash data is used solely for improving App stability.
• Firebase Analytics (Google): For anonymous usage analytics. Analytics collection is disabled in development builds.
• Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google): For measuring App performance. Performance data collection is disabled in development builds.
• Google Sign-In: As an optional authentication method. See Google Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

MGI reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted within the App and will take effect upon posting. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
